Trash Talk
Wednesday, February 11 at 6 p.m.
Trash fish. Fertilizer. Golden Ghosts. Carp have a variety of colorful names they’ve been labeled with since they were introduced to the US in the 1800s, but these widely misunderstood fish are an excellent target for fly anglers. From small creeks, dry flies, and tidal waters, to sight fishing on the freshwater flats, carp are big, strong fish that live in diverse environments that every fly angler in California should be taking advantage of.
Join Editor-at-Large George Revel and Carp Whisperer Dagur Gu∂mundsson as they talk trash.

Ever since I caught my first five-pound specimen from Discovery Bay back in 1996, I've been mesmerized by these amazing predatory fish. After 30 years of hunting them in the Delta, I never tire of having a stubborn striper tugging at the end of my fly rod.
